iDEA Welcomes Better Collective as a Member

iDEA Growth (iDevelopment and Economic Association), the leading nonprofit trade association representing online gaming and sports betting business growth in the U.S., is pleased to announce that Better Collective has become a member. Better Collective owns and operates international and local sports communities and media that aim to make sports entertainment more sustainably engaging and fun.

“Better Collective is a real powerhouse in the online gaming media space and an innovator in the areas of responsible gaming and advertising,” said iDEA Founder and General Counsel Jeff Ifrah. “We expect their input and collaboration will be a tremendous support to iDEA and its members as we work to promote legal, responsible iGaming and online sports betting.”

“For the online gaming industry to experience long-term sustainability and growth, we must work together to educate both lawmakers and the public about the benefits of regulated and responsible online gaming,” said Better Collective U.S. General Counsel Katie McCord. “We are excited to join iDEA to support its mission of legal, safer iGaming and sports betting and its focus on creating real standards around safer gaming and advertising.”

To be an iDEA member, iGaming and online sports betting businesses must adhere to the Association’s Responsible Gaming Pillars and demonstrate commitment to actively addressing safer gaming issues as part of their daily operations. Better Collective far exceeds this iDEA membership criteria. For example, Better Collective entered into a partnership in 2019 with its peers in the United Kingdom to found the trade association Responsible Affiliates in Gambling, also known as RAiG. Through its subsidiary, Mindway AI, Better Collective further specializes in innovative and advanced software solutions for the identification of at-risk and problem gambling behavior. These solutions include an award-winning software based on AI and neuroscience technology for sportsbooks, allowing them to scan users for problematic behavior, as well as a gamified self-test available on the Group’s owned and operated sports brands to enhance users’ awareness of their gaming habits.

We welcome Better Collective to iDEA and look forward to its involvement in our mission to broaden the iGaming and online sports betting industry in the U.S. through advocacy and education.
