  • Play NY, 6.11.21: NY Regulators Publish Expanded FAQ Ahead Of Mobile Sports Providers’ Proposals 
    • In April, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a new budget bill into law, an act that moved NY a step closer to introducing mobile sports betting. But much work remained, and a couple of weeks later the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) helped clarify some questions by issuing a 10-page FAQ.

  • Legal Sports Report, 6.14.21: Canada Sports Betting Bill Sponsor ‘Optimistic’ For Passage This Week 
    • Sen. David Wells told LSR on Friday that bill C-218 should be up for third reading on Tuesday. The bill, which amends the Criminal Code to allow single-game sports betting in Canada, was scheduled for last Thursday but fell victim to the parliamentary process.                         

Washington:  

  • Sports Handle, 6.11.21: Washington State Gambling Commission Rolls Out Proposed Rules, Approves Compacts 
    • Sports betting stakeholders in Washington State are concerned about everything from accounting methods to how to add events to the state’s bet menu to integrity monitoring. But the proposed rules and comments the Washington State Gambling Commission revealed ahead of its meeting Thursday didn’t point to any crazy concerns.
