AZ planning to launch its market on Sept 9th, but a recent legal challenge could mean a delay.

September 3, 2021

Arizona is still planning to launch its market on Sept 9th, however, a recent legal challenge could delay the launch if successful.  Yesterday the judge held a preliminary hearing and set a schedule.  By 3pm on Friday (Sept 3rd) the defendants (Gov Ducey and ADG Director Ted Vogt) will need to file their briefs opposing the Temporary Restraining Order. The Tribe is then required to reply by 4pm on Sunday (Sept 5th). On Monday morning, the judge will hear oral arguments and he expects to issue a decision by that evening.

He anticipates that any decision will be appealed.

iDEA will remain engaged in communicating with the ADG and providing information to members on the process.
