Comprehensive Gambling Bill Likely in Alabama in 2024

We anticipate seeing legislative activity in Alabama in 2024 that includes a comprehensive gambling bill covering brick and mortar casinos, state-run lottery and mobile sports betting.
Alabama is one of the few U.S. states that doesn’t currently have a state lottery. At this time land-based casinos are tribal only.
The state’s legislative session convenes on February 6, 2024, and iDEA will monitor activity in the state.
