GA State Senators File Bill to Legalize Sports Betting

On January 31, 11 Georgia State Senators filed SB 57, a bill that would allow the Georgia Lottery Corporation to issue 18 sports betting licenses.
Nine of these licenses will go to professional sports teams or their preferred online sports betting provider and nine will untethered. The tax rate would be 20%. More background information can be accessed here.
