Hawaii Conference Committee Decision Pending on Sports Wagering Bill

The sports wagering bill (HB 1308) is currently pending a decision by the House-Senate conference committee.
The Senate named its conferees on April 22nd, but the House has yet to do so. If the conference committee fails to meet or reach consensus, the House still has the option to adopt the Senate-passed version of the bill before the May 2nd adjournment. Notably, earlier this week, Governor Green indicated he would not veto a sports wagering bill that includes strong consumer protections—a positive signal heading into these final days.
