iDEA Meeting with Casino Association of Indiana (CAI)
This week, iDEA met with the Executive Director of the Casino Association of Indiana (CAI). Our discussion centered around strategy for the interim and the 2023 legislative session. CAI’s Executive Director, Matt Bell, was very aligned with iDEA on goals for an aggressive interim lobbying effort.
We have continued to touch base on a weekly basis with Senator Jon Ford, who continues to affirm his intent to file a bill in the 2023 session and to move forward in pursuing both legalization of iGaming and iLottery. He continues to work through an analysis as to whether the two concepts should be included in a single bill, which is his current intent.
One of the first legislators that needs to be met with is the Senate President Pro Tem, who was the biggest barrier to iGaming last session.
