iDEA Speaks With IN Speaker re: Advancing iGaming Regulation

On 08/11 iDEA spoke with the IN Speaker of the House about how to advance iGaming legislation this year. He noted that one area of focus for the legislature will be how the revenue from iGaming can be most impactful for the state.
Currently the state has a $6B surplus, so rather than going to the general fund he’d like to find how it can be reinvested into local communities.
Our team is actively using the interim session to meet with influential lawmakers and gather support for iGaming.
We will be working with our lobbying team to identify good uses for iGaming revenue and turn those beneficiaries into allies to push for its passage.
We will also be in Indiana for the RLCC retreat and have plans to meet with several Indiana lawmakers
