IL Budget to Increase Sports Betting Tax Rate

The legislature is close to finalizing a budget which includes increasing the current sports betting tax rate from 15% to 35%.
There has been a concerted lobbying effort to discourage lawmakers from approving this dramatic tax hike, or find other revenue alternatives such as iGaming.
