Maryland Lottery Meeting TOMORROW
The Maryland Lottery is meeting on October 27th, and they will be discussing and approving companies for mobile sports wagering licenses (master licenses) as well as their associated mobile sports wagering operator. Once this MD Lottery initial approval is complete, the SWARC will conduct their own review and we expect SWARC approvals will happen at their meeting planned for November 21st. There will still be a final level of review conducted by the Lottery to ensure that mobile operator systems meet the regulatory/testing requirements. This could take a few days. I think there is a scenario where operators could launch before December, but I still think early December is the most likely timeframe with the expectation that multiple operators would be approved to launch on the same day.
