MD Still Undertaking Disparity Study; Vote on Rules Unlikely This Week

The SWARC is meeting next week to discuss draft licensing rules. While it has been reported that they will vote on these rules, we do not believe this will be the case.
The state is still undertaking a disparity study. For the past several months the state AG has said this need to be completed before licensing can move forward.
Two weeks ago MD Governor Larry Hogan sent a letter to the SWARC imploring them to expedite mobile licensing and launch. His letter can be found here.
iDEA continues to monitor activity of the SWARC and MD Lottery and also communicates with these bodies as needed.
