Minnesota Sports Betting Bill Introduced

Senator Miller’s sports betting bill (SF 3803) was formally introduced. It was referred to the Committee on State and Local Government and Veterans.
The tribes and the tracks continue to negotiate on sports betting. These negotiations are going to largely determine what the final bill will be. However, Senator Miller’s bill does roll back some changes that were made to charitable gaming in the last legislative session, therefore bringing the charitable gaming stakeholders into the sports betting conversation. To date, no committee hearings have been scheduled for any of the sports betting bills.
The Governor has indicated that if a compromised sports betting bill reaches his desk, he will sign it.
