Mississippi House Passes Amended Sports Betting Bills, Senate Concurrence Unlikely
March 14, 2025
Senate Bill 2381 and Senate Bill 2510 that were previously amended by the House Gaming Committee and had sports betting language inserted into them have passed the full House.
The bills now head back to the Senate for a concurrence vote. It isn’t expected that the Senate will concur in the amended versions of the bills.
It is likely that these bills end up in a conference committee, with members of the House and the Senate negotiating final language. However, the House and the Senate still are far apart on sports betting.
