NC Sports Wagering Bill Could Have Hearing 6/14

The legislature started is session on 05/18. To date, there has only been discussion of sports wagering but no action. House lawmakers have indicated their desire to pass the Senate bill as is, and then pass a “trailer bill” to address other items including a potential increase to the tax rate – currently at 8% could go as high as 15%.
iDEA is engaging with lawmakers and seeking opportunities to testify or otherwise advocate for policies.
