New York iGaming Bill Faces Hurdles and Union Negotiations Continue

Senator Addabbo will be filing an iGaming bill again this session. Two major obstacles persist.
The licensing of the downstate casinos is still far from happening, and will make it difficult to authorize iGaming, until there is more clarity on this process. Also, the hotel workers trade union continues to oppose iGaming, however, there continues to be negotiations to see if there are ways to divert iGaming revenue to support the labor union and get them away from opposing the bill.
