NY to Hold Hearing About Problem Gambling on Mobile Wagering Platforms

The House Racing and Wagering Committee will hold a hearing on October 29 to discuss “Combatting Problem Gambling on Mobile Wagering Platforms.”
While the chair of the Committee is new and it is believed the hearing will be a fact-finding effort rather than an inquisition, we anticipate that there will be online iGaming opponents testifying.
iDEA is reaching out to our internal legislative committee and contacts in the state legislature to determine who will be testifying and whether it will be appropriate for iDEA to participate.
