Ohio Budget Talks Begin; iDEA Study from Eilers Under Initial Review

House and Senate leaders are beginning to discuss their respective budget bills. Currently, iGaming is not included, but that can change given the budget dynamics. Our commissioned study from Eilers – examining the economic impact of iGaming at more reasonable rates – is under initial review and will be finalized to share with lawmakers soon.
As noted in a previous update, we submitted our recommended alternative proposal, focused on tax rates, license fees and market access on May 30, per a request from House/Senate lawmakers. That submission can be found here.
iDEA remains actively engaged with lawmakers and other stakeholders in Ohio through our lobbyist and other strong connections to the state.
