Oklahoma Sports Wagering Bills Die in Senate

Due to lack of tribal consensus on the legislation, coupled with the threat of a Governor veto, caused both sports wagering bills to die in the Senate on May 8. Given the acrimonious relationship between the tribes and the Governor, enacting a sports wagering law will be difficult until after a new Governor is elected in Nov. 2026.
