WYOMING: Update from Lobbyist on Hearing this Week!

iDEA’s lobbyist in Wyoming provided the following update regarding Committee meetings and the bill hearing…
- Wednesday January 29 — Meeting with Committee members, including the Chair, Rep. Byron and bill sponsor, Rep. Davis
- We will walk attendees through the bill and answer questions.
- One of our goals is to prepare Rep. Davis for his presentation before the Travel committee on Thursday January 30
- Thursday January 30 at 12:00 pm Mountain Time — Bill is before Travel, Recreation and Wildlife (TRW) committee on the House side. Rep. Davis will introduce the bill.
- Agencies will be called on for comment
- Nick Laramendy will address the committee and discuss the added workload and fiscal impact to the Commission
- The bill covers any added expense to the Commission
- Public Comment will follow:
- Wyoming Association of Municipalities will testify in support of the bill
- Wyoming County Commissioner Association will testify in support of the bill
- The Tribes will either oppose or offer amendments to the bill
- Our request is for John Pappas to testify last and respond to any questions or concerns that have been brought up.
