Update from The Maryland Lottery
SWARC has moved up their timeline to address draft licensing rules and applications. They have posted drafts online and they will be discussed and voted on at a meeting scheduled for July 13. Links and relevant info are below in the email from the MD Lottery.
This is to advise you that draft versions of SWARC’s regulations and applications were posted to the SWARC website today. They can be found here and here.
Members of SWARC will consider these drafts at a meeting at 9 a.m. on July 13. If approved, the regulations will be filed with the General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review (AELR) in the coming days as both emergency and proposed regulations and a public comment period will be announced in the Maryland Register.
These documents are not final and a date when applications will be accepted has not yet been established. That will not occur until after SWARC considers the results and review of an industry analysis currently being conducted. However, potential applicants are encouraged to review the regulations and applications and begin preparing the information and materials that will be required once the window of time to file applications has been established.
