Georgia Senate Passes Ballot Initiative for Sports Betting Bill

Georgia’s bill to put sports betting on the ballot passed the Senate on February 27. The bill was approved ahead of the cross-over deadline so it is eligible for consideration in the House.
The House still must act on both the enabling legislation and the constitutional amendment (CA). If the House does take action it will likely amend the bill necessitating a negotiation with the Senate. There are only four weeks left in the session.
