Maryland Proposes New Regulations Related to Sports Wagering

On December 15, Maryland issued several new proposed regulations focusing on data security of player information, self-exclusion, and advertising related to sports wagering.
We are continuing to engage with the regulator on a proposal to reduce the promotional deduction threshold to 5%. We understand that the rules will be put on hold through the state legislative review committee, but only as a temporary solution.
iDEA has proactively reached out to the Commission and shared our concerns with the proposed amendment.
