IN House Committee Passes iLottery Bill; iGaming Amendment Expected on Floor

January 9, 2026

Earlier this week, lawmakers stated their support to also include iGaming in an iLottery bill that a House Committee passed during the hearing.

While the bill left committee without an iGaming amendment included, we understand there will be an effort to amend the bill on the House floor to include it. The bill is expected on the floor on Jan 12.

While the votes may be there in support of iGaming in the House, the Senate has been a more difficult body to convince on the policy. It’s a very short session in Indiana, so things are moving quickly. The session adjournment is expected end of Feb.

Any bill must pass one chamber by Feb 5 to be considered in another. iDEA is working with stakeholders to provide support and data to help secure support for next week’s potential vote. We will likely travel to meet with Senate lawmakers if it passes the House.
