GA Rep. Hatchett Reintroduces HB 910 as Speaker Remains Hesitant

Sports betting bill HB 910 was re-introduced this week by Rep. Hatchett. This bill does not require a constitutional amendment.
While this is a preferable approach, it has run into opposition. Lawmakers believe that this should ultimately go to the ballot and the Speaker of the House continues to be less than enthusiastic about pushing this policy.
The session convened on Jan 12 and will adjourns on April 9. iDEA is engaging with stakeholders and sharing perspectives about sports wagering legalization.
