The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) reported that Detroit casinos produced $109.8 million in April revenue. It’s a slight dip from March, which is always one of the top months of the year. Revenue totals prior to the pandemic are likely in the rearview. April’s total in 2025 lines right up with last year. Detroit properties grew slightly, at a 0.3% year-over-year. - Play Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania Senator Introduces Skill Games Bill with Tax and Regulation Framework
Pennsylvania Senator Chris Gebhard introduced a comprehensive bill that outlines a regulation and tax structure for skill games. Pace-O-Matic (POM), a Georgia-based skill game manufacturer, has opposed the bill. The sponsors of Senate Bill 756 wrote out a 183-page bill that lays the groundwork for skill games in Pennsylvania. Gebhard’s bill calls for a 35% tax. The games would also be under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), which would oversee where the games are located.
