Alabama Gambling Expansion Bill Excludes Mobile Sports Betting

The gambling bill negotiated in Alabama by the conference committee excluded mobile sports betting. While that bill was approved earlier this week by the House, it fell short of the votes needed in the Senate. The state’s prominent gaming tribe opposes the compromise bill. Unless the gaming bill is stripped down to only permitting a paper lottery, then we believe any gambling expansion will not pass this year.
