Alabama Lawmakers Remove Casinos and Sports Betting from Gambling Expansion Bill

Senate lawmakers have removed casinos and sports betting from the state’s gambling expansion bill. The stripped down bill will only authorize a Lottery.

It was passed out of the Senate and now must go to the House for concurrence or a conference committee. House leaders will be evaluating what changes they will make to the new Senate bill, which could include reinserting sports betting.
