Arkansas iGaming Legislation Advances in House Despite Limited Session Time
April 4, 2025
The bills would tie licenses to existing land-based casinos, permitting a single brand that must be associated with the casino. This would be structured similarly to sports betting, which has not provided a competitive market.
The effort is being pushed primarily by Saracen Casino; and not all state gaming entities support it. We also understand that the Governor is opposed.
The House bill has seen some movement in the past week on the Committee level, but we understand that it does not have time (nor will the lawmaker) to be passed this session.
