Federal Judge Dismisses a Legal Challenge in Florida

On 10/18, a federal judge dismissed one of the three legal challenges brought against the tribal compact. Hearings for the two other challenges, by their respective courts, are set for early November.
Meanwhile, under the compact sports betting could have launched on Oct 15, but did not. The Seminole tribe have not announced a launch date, but some speculate that a launch could come before the case(s) are heard in early November.
The ballot initiative to bring more competition to the FL sports betting market continues to gather signatures.
