HB 601 Expected to Return to WI Legislature

In the coming weeks in Wisconsin, House Bill 601 is expected to return to the agenda.
The bill would leverage IGRA to allow sports bets made by a person located in Wisconsin using a mobile or other electronic device if the server used to conduct the wager is physically located on a federally recognized American Indian tribe’s Indian lands and if the sports wager is conducted pursuant to a compact between a tribe and Wisconsin.
The next floor session is Jan 13-22. iDEA will continue to monitor the Wisconsin Legislature.
