iDEA Speaks with Illinois Rep Regarding Concerns

On 06/02 iDEA spoke with a representative from the Gov’s office about concerns they raised regarding our supplier licensing fix bill. We articulated how the supplier fee structure in IL is out of whack with other gaming licenses in that state as well as other supplier fees throughout the country.
The Gov’s office main concern is a loss of planned revenue. They contend that the high annual license fee for supplier ($150k) was actually intentional as a way to meet revenue projections.
Ultimately, we may need to consider some compromise language.
