iDEA will participate in Indiana iGaming briefing for key Senators on August 23.

The briefing will correspond with a Senate fundraising event. In a meeting John Pappas had with Senator Jon Ford at NCLGS, Ford encouraged iDEA to continue briefing lawmakers and asked if we may produce info/research to support iGaming legislation for the 2022 session.
The chief fiscal analyst for the Speaker of the House has outlined key areas where they are seeking iGaming data:
- Optimal tax rates; if different than land-based, why?
- Tax revenue projections based on various tax rates
- Data on cannibalization
We have reached out to a couple research firms about providing an analysis of the data they are seeking in Indiana are determining how to fund the study, including an attempt to connect with the Casino Association of Indiana about sharing in the cost.
