iDEA’s Continued Advocacy Efforts in Maryland

Maryland’s bill sponsor has been open to iDEA’s recommendations for changes to the bill. Our biggest concern with Maryland’s bill is with the proposed tax rate. MD land-based casinos have several concerns including the untethered access model and several of the DEI provisions.
We are presenting alternatives to the sponsor in the coming days and also preparing to testify at a hearing on the bill.
We are also sharing iDEA’s EK iGaming study with Maryland lawmakers, as it is directly relevant to the iGaming debate in Maryland.
