iGaming Legislation in Indiana

January 7, 2022

iGaming legislation is expected to be filed the week of January 10 in the state House – Rep. Ethan Manning will be the lead lawmaker. Senate leadership has requested that the bill start in the House, but Senator Ford (our iGaming champion) is committed to shepherding the bill through both chambers.

The House is expected to push for a broad tax cut bill this session and iGaming could be leveraged as a pay-for to offset the tax cuts.

iDEA Growth and Casino Association of Indiana will be releasing an iGaming study this month. We are currently receiving feedback on the Draft study from the Legislative Committee.

Our lobbying team (along with other stakeholders) are meeting next week with key House/Senate lawmakers to discuss timeline for pushing the legislation.
