Illinois: iDEA Supplier Licensing Bill Passes with Full Senate Support!
On 02/25, SB 2973, the supplier licensing fee correction bill, passed the full Senate unanimously. The bill now moves to the House. The lead sponsor will be House Executive Chairman Bob Rita, who is the gatekeeper for all gaming related matters in that chamber.
SB 2973 is an IDEA led initiative and if enacted will result in considerable cost saving for iDEA members who are licensed sports wagering suppliers in the state.
A video update when the bill was passed out of Committee is available on the member portal.
A copy of the bill is available on the member portal.
iDEA is starting conversations in the House regarding the supplier bill. We recent sent this letter to Rep. Bob Rita, however, he has not yet indicated whether he plans to move a bill before they adjourn in April. Some have speculated that he might wait to pass an omnibus gaming bill during the veto session in November.
