IN iGaming Efforts Continue Despite House Setback on iLottery Amendments

January 16, 2026

The full House considered the iLottery bill earlier this week. There were two attempts to add iGaming via amendment, however, those were rejected from being considered as the Rules Chairman viewed them to be non-germane.

The iLottery bill still remains on the House floor and could be voted on for final passage next week. Once in the Senate, there would be opportunities to amend the bill once again with iGaming. However, this seems unlikely given that those efforts were already rejected in the House. The session adjourns at the end of February.

iDEA is monitoring the situation and connecting with local stakeholder on how to position iGaming in the Senate.
