Indiana iGaming Bill Moves Out of Comittee

On January 28, iDEA testified before the Public Policy Committee in support of iGaming (comprehensive summary in previous update here). You can view the hearing in its entirety here. Since the hearing, we understand that the bill sponsor is working to secure a hearing and vote in the House Ways and Means Committee.
Ideally, the bill can be considered in the full state House by Feb 20, 2025.
iDEA is coordinating with the bill sponsor and other stakeholders to advance and improve the bill – notably, we oppose the sports betting tax increase (to 20%) that was included.
Our team will be prepared to testify and engage with lawmakers when the next hearing is scheduled.
