Indiana Legislature to Return For Special July Session

July 1, 2022

While it is not likely that gaming issues could be addressed during this session, if the legislature seeks to address matters related to state revenues, there could be an opening for iGaming (this is low probability, but something we will be ready to pounce on).

IN Gaming Commission is hosting a Continuing Legal Education seminar July 14/15. One of the sessions is entitled “What’s ahead with iGaming,” which will be presented by the IGC’s General Counsel, Dennis Mullen. The IN Gaming Commission is also expected to release their own iGaming study which is being conducted by Spectrum Gaming.

Our team is actively using the interim session to meet with influential lawmakers and gather support for iGaming.

We have a meeting with Senator Bray’s office for 07/05. In the past, the Senator has been a major sticking point for legislation to advance.

We will be meeting with Senator Jon Ford during the NCLGS conference.
