Kansas Bill Passes House

The debate was contentious and the vote closer than expected (63-49). A major point of concern was last minute provision that was added that directs 80 percent of the tax revenue to a fund to build a professional sports stadium.
While it did ultimately pass the House the Senate did not end up voting. They are on recess now for 3 weeks so no action in the Senate will happen until late April at the earliest. I can imagine some aggressive lobbying will continue over the next few weeks.
