MA Senator Advocates to Increase Sports Betting Tax Rate

State Senator John Keenan has offered an amendment to the state budget to increase the sports betting tax rate to 51% (mimicking the NY tax rate).
The budget currently resides with the Senate Ways and Means Committee where this amendment could be considered. Separately, the state is again considering authorizing online lottery. Some are seeking to add iGaming to the discussion.
