Maine Bill LD 1777 is Fails in the House

This week, the Senate took another vote on LD 1777, passed it and sent it back to the House.
However, the final vote failed in the House. LD 1777 is dead. Maine’s 2024 legislative session is now adjourned. One of the main issues that derailed the bill was the issue of tribal exclusivity, in addition to the possible veto of the bill from the Governor.
