Maine Committee Tables Bill LD 1777 During Jan 29 Meeting

On Jan. 29, Maine’s Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee held a work session on LD 1777 and voted to table the bill. This move doesn’t necessarily kill the bill.
It was stated that there needs to be more work done on the bill. Now the interested parties and stakeholders have some time to work on potential amendments. As of now, no formal work sessions or committee dates have been scheduled. However, if an agreement can be reached, it is still anticipated that the bill will move forward.
