Massachusetts Gaming Board Meeting on Sports Wagering (Oct 27): Key Takeaways

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) held a meeting to discuss sports wagering on Thursday, 10/27. Here are our key take-aways:
- MGC approved the Sports Wagering License Evaluation regulation (see 205 CMR 218)
- MGC discussed, but did not vote on, Sports Wagering Operator Licensing Framework set of regulations (see 205 CMR 212 – DRAFT)
- MGC will be sending all prospective operators an email with application instructions.
- MGC is requesting that operators share a list of vendors so they can reach out to them to begin the licensing process.
- Massachusetts staggered sports betting launch windows (for retail and mobile) will remain unchanged at this time.
