Michigan Continues Budget Talks; No Agreement Reached

In regards to our previous update on Michigan’s road funding budget talks, the state budget still hasn’t been finalized. At this time, those talks haven’t produced an agreement.
This week, the Senate Appropriations Committee Chair stated that a road funding plan will need to include new revenue. As budget and road funding talks continue, all options remain on the table, including an increase to the online gaming tax rate.
Michigan’s new fiscal year starts October 1. iDEA will continue to monitor and engage with lawmakers on the tax issue.
