Michigan Reaches Budget Framework Agreement; However, Budget Has Not Been Finalized

Legislative leaders and the Governor announced on Thursday, 9/25 that an agreement has been reached on a budget framework. Very few specifics were released and more work is still needed to finalize the budget.
Some budget implementation bills were passed, including the House of Representatives passing bills to generate new revenue for road funding. The House did not increase the online wagering tax rates; however, nothing is final yet.
iDEA will continue to monitor and engage with lawmakers on the tax issue.
