Minnesota Hearing: Real-time Update from John Pappas

The committee chair called the hearing to a recess before getting to the sports wagering bill. She could call the committee back at any time (Live stream link here). Late yesterday, the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association sent a letter to the committee saying they would oppose the proposed Senate amendment which they view upends their tribal exclusivity to gaming. A bill can only get done if there is a compromise between the tribes and Senate, and right now it seems they continue to be far apart. The session concludes at Midnight on Sunday, so still room to negotiate, but its getting to hail mary time.
