Minnesota Senate Committee to Weigh Competing Sports Betting Bills

Another sports betting bill has been introduced in the Minnesota Legislature.
It is SF 978, introduced by Senator Marty. Senator Marty has been anti-sports betting and held a hearing earlier this year about the “social harms resulting from online sports betting”. You can read an article about the most recent sports betting bill here.
On Feb. 13th, the Senate State and Local Government Committee will hold a hearing on two of the competing sports betting bills…SF 757 and SF 978.

Also, of note, the Minnesota House has reached a power-sharing agreement that will end the stand-off between the Democrats and Republicans and allow the House to begin to perform its legislative functions.
