Mississippi Mobile Sports Betting Stalls on Casino Opposition

At the end of the 2024 legislative session, a sports betting bill died in a legislative conference committee when the conference committee members from the House and the Senate couldn’t come to an agreement.
We expect legislative action on sports betting in the 2025 legislative session. Some of the state’s land-based casinos have been the biggest opponents to online sports expansion.
