Movement in Missouri

May 4, 2022

There is some movement in Missouri on a compromise being offered by Senator Denny Hoskins. It would use his bill as the base for legislation and amending such items as reducing the tax rates to 15% (he wanted 21%), but increasing licensing fees to over $1m. It also removes any VLT expansion (another priority of Sen Hoskins), but does include lottery retail parlay offering. See related documents 1, 2 and 3.

John Pappas was informed that the casino association is discussing this proposal now, but there’s no commitment to support it as of yet. We expect that details are going to be subject to negotiations.

We will keep in you in loop on the latest developments.
