Multiple Mobile Sports Betting Bills Introduced in MS While Opposition Develops
January 30, 2026
Multiple bills have been introduced this session which would open the market to mobile sports betting. Casey Eure, the chair of the House Gaming Committee, has not yet introduced legislation.
Previously his bills cleared the House, but stalled in the Senate, where the same opposition remains with some land-based casinos urging lawmakers to oppose due to cannibalization concerns.
The NaaiG has come out to oppose mobile sports betting expansion. This is the first time they have focused their opposition on a sports-only state. Jan 6 the session convened and on April 4 the session adjourns. iDEA will monitor developments in MS.
